Job summary

SBM Management Services, LP is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Wichita, KS to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain diverse equipment across facilities. You will perform routine and predictive maintenance, operate tools and lifts, and uphold strict safety policies.

The role emphasizes hands-on problem solving, clear communication with coworkers and customers, and logging maintenance activities. Shift is Mon-Fri, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM with hourly pay in the mid-teens.

Qualifications

• Six months minimum experience in a company environment or equivalent experience and/or training such as basic plumbing, painting, HVAC or construction.
• Two years Electrical Experience minimum.
• High School diploma or GED or equivalent combination of training and experience preferred.
• Must complete all safety, environmental and task training and/or certifications.
• May require to have a valid driver's license.
• Forklift and electric pallet jack certification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Self-starter with leadership and problem-solving skills.

• Perform general cleaning and maintain clean work area.
• Mechanically troubleshoot and diagnose equipment, electrical and mechanical issues and repair.
• Provide strong customer service and communicate complex issues professionally.
• Work safely in industrial environments with Lock Out/Tag Out procedures.
• Maintain maintenance logs and schedules.
• Use hand and power tools; operate scissor lifts, ladders, and scaffolding.

Job Overview

The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for safely performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment in one or more fields (carpentry, paint, electrical, janitorial equipment, HVAC, vehicle/golf cart etc.).

Roles & Responsibilities

• Self-Starter with Leadership and problem-solving skills
• Perform routine and predictive maintenance
• Perform general cleaning and maintains clean work area
• Mechanically inclined with the ability to troubleshoot and diagnose equipment, electrical & mechanical issues and then repair
• Strong customer service skills
• Comfortable communicating complex issues with superior, co-workers and customers in a professional manner
• Proven ability to work safely in industrial environments
• Familiar with and utilize proper Lock Out/ Tag Out safety procedures
• Perform preventative equipment maintenance and repairs on all floor equipment, scrubbers, chariot vacuums, extractors, etc.
• Respond positively to requests in a timely manner
• Ability to use hand and power tools, use of scissor lifts, ladders and scaffolding. Soldering and welding a plus
• Maintain maintenance logs and schedules
