Job summary

SBM Management Services, LP in Indianapolis is seeking a Maintenance Technician to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain a variety of equipment across carpentry, electrical, HVAC, janitorial, and floor care. You will perform preventive maintenance, operate hand and power tools, and follow Lock Out/ Tag Out safety procedures.

Candidates need at least 6 months in a related environment and 2 years of electrical experience, plus a high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

  • Six months minimum experience in a company environment or equivalent training.
  • Two years electrical experience minimum.
  • High School diploma or GED or equivalent combination of training and experience preferred.
  • May require valid driver’s license; forklift and pallet jack certifications may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and predictive maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical issues.
  • Maintain clean work area and keep maintenance logs.
  • Use hand and power tools; operate scissor lifts, ladders and scaffolding.
  • Follow safety procedures including Lock Out/Tag Out.
  • Respond to requests in a timely manner.

Job description

Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Overview

The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for safely performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment in one or more fields (carpentry, paint, electrical, janitorial equipment, HVAC, vehicle/golf cart etc.).

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Self-Starter with Leadership and problem-solving skills
  • Perform routine and predictive maintenance
  • Perform general cleaning and maintains clean work area
  • Mechanically inclined with the ability to troubleshoot and diagnose equipment, electrical & mechanical issues and then repair
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Comfortable communicating complex issues with superior, co-workers and customers in a professional manner
  • Proven ability to work safely in industrial environments
  • Familiar with and utilize proper Lock Out/ Tag Out safety procedures
  • Perform preventative equipment maintenance and repairs on all floor equipment, scrubbers, chariot vacuums, extractors, etc.
  • Respond positively to requests in a timely manner
  • Ability to use hand and power tools, use of scissor lifts, ladders and scaffolding.
  • Soldering and welding a plus
  • Maintain maintenance logs and schedules
Qualification

Education and/ or Experience

Six months minimum experience in a company environment or equivalent experience and or training such as basic plumbing, painting, HVAC or construction. Two years Electrical Experience minimum. High School diploma or GED or equivalent combination of training and experience preferred. Must complete all safety, environmental and task training and or certifications.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

May required to have a valid driver’s license. Forklift and electric pallet jack certification may be required.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Compensation and Shift:

Monday-Friday: 7:00am-3:30pm $20.00-$21.00 per hour
