Job summary

Atrium Hospitality is seeking a hotel maintenance technician for the Des Moines area, based at the Des Moines Sheraton. This full-time on-site role focuses on preventative maintenance, guest room care, and repair tasks.

You will document work orders, troubleshoot HVAC, electrical, and plumbing, and help maintain pool systems, landscaping, and equipment. The position welcomes candidates with maintenance experience and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of general maintenance experience; hotel maintenance preferred.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs regularly and 50 lbs occasionally.
• HVAC, electrical, or plumbing certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance tasks, including guest room care
• Complete and document guest and associate work orders
• Troubleshoot and repair minor electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems
• Maintain, clean, and adjust pool systems and chemicals
• Repair furniture, fixtures, and hotel equipment such as laundry, kitchen, and small appliances
• Perform seasonal landscaping, groundskeeping, and trash removal duties
• Operate and maintain hand tools and power equipment
