Job summary

LR Management is seeking a dependable Maintenance Technician in Michigan to perform apartment maintenance and preventative work. You will handle repairs, move-ins/outs, and resident requests, while keeping facilities clean and safe. A valid driver’s license, 1–3 years’ maintenance experience, and the ability to lift 50 pounds are required. Weekend availability is often needed.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of verifiable general maintenance experience.
• A valid driver’s license.
• Flexible schedule, including weekends and on-call availability.
• A high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Full maintenance of apartments prior to new residents moving in.
• Repairing and improving vacant and occupied apartments.
• Completing resident service requests in a timely manner.
• Performing carpentry, plumbing, and painting tasks.
• Carrying out preventative maintenance tasks.
• Conducting move in/move out inspections.
• Maintaining an adequate inventory of parts.
• Keeping the service shop clean and organized.
• Maintaining grounds and building exteriors, including trash pickup and snow removal.
• Adhering to fair housing policies.

LR Management is looking for a dependable and hard-working individual with previous apartment maintenance experience to join our team. The successful candidate will be a team player, have a positive attitude along with being self-motivated and self-directed.

Our maintenance staff are key members of our property team who interact with our residents as they carry out general repairs and preventative maintenance which includes HVAC repair, electrical, plumbing, painting, and carpentry.
