Job summary

LR Management Services is hiring a Maintenance Technician in Michigan. You will perform general apartment maintenance, repairs, and preventative tasks to ensure high resident satisfaction. Interaction with residents is a key part of the role, with focus on timely service requests and quality workmanship.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of maintenance experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to lift 50 pounds. A flexible schedule including weekends and on-call shifts is required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Full maintenance of apartments prior to new residents moving in.
• Repairing and improving vacant and occupied apartments.
• Completing resident service requests in a timely manner.
• Carpentry, plumbing, and painting tasks.
• Performing preventative maintenance tasks.
• Move in/move out inspections.
• Maintaining inventory for required parts.
• Keeping the service shop clean and organized.
• Maintaining common areas of the property.
• Maintaining grounds and building exteriors including trash pickup and snow removal.
• Adhering to fair housing policies.

Our maintenance staff are key members of our property team who interact with our residents as they carry out general repairs and preventative maintenance which includes HVAC repair, electrical, plumbing, painting, and carpentry.

Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To

• Full maintenance of apartments prior to new residents moving in
• Repairing and improving vacant and occupied apartments

• Accomplishing carpentry, plumbing, and painting tasks
• Performing preventative maintenance tasks
• Conducting move in/move out inspections
• Ensuring an adequate inventory level for required parts
• Ensuring service shop is clean and organized
• Assisting in the maintenance and cleanliness of the property’s indoor common areas
• Maintaining well-groomed grounds and building exteriors including, but not limited, to trash pickup and snow removal
• Adhering to established policies related to fair housing
