Job summary

LR Management is seeking a dependable Maintenance Technician in Michigan to join our growing team. You will perform general repairs and preventative maintenance on apartment communities, interacting with residents and ensuring unit readiness.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of maintenance experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to lift 50 pounds. Weekend/on-call availability and a high school diploma or GED are required.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of verifiable general maintenance experience.
• A valid driver's license.
• Applicants must be able to accommodate a flexible schedule, including weekends and the ability to be on-call.
• A high school diploma or GED.
• The ability to lift 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Full maintenance of apartments prior to new residents moving in.
• Repairing and improving vacant and occupied apartments.
• Completing resident service requests in a timely manner.
• Accomplishing carpentry, plumbing, and painting tasks.
• Performing preventative maintenance tasks.
• Conducting move in/move out inspections.
• Ensuring an adequate inventory level for required parts.
• Ensuring service shop is clean and organized.
• Assisting in the maintenance and cleanliness of the property's indoor common areas.
• Maintaining well-groomed grounds and building exteriors including trash pickup and snow removal.
• Adhering to established policies related to fair housing.

LR Management is looking for a dependable and hard-working individual with previous apartment maintenance experience to join our team. The successful candidate will be a team player, have a positive attitude along with being self-motivated and self-directed.

Our maintenance staff are key members of our property team who interact with our residents as they carry out general repairs and preventative maintenance which includes HVAC repair, electrical, plumbing, painting, and carpentry.
