Job summary

LR Management is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Michigan to perform general repairs and preventative maintenance across properties. You will handle HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and painting tasks to keep units ready for new residents.

Responsibilities include move-in/out inspections, inventory control, and keeping common areas clean. We value reliability, teamwork, and self-motivation.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of verifiable general maintenance experience.
• A valid driver’s license.
• Ability to accommodate a flexible schedule, including weekends and on-call shifts.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform full maintenance of apartments prior to new residents moving in.
• Repair and improve vacant and occupied units.
• Complete resident service requests promptly.
• Perform carpentry, plumbing, and painting tasks.
• Conduct preventative maintenance tasks on property systems.
• Coordinate move-in/move-out inspections.
• Maintain parts inventory and organize the service shop.
• Assist in maintaining indoor common areas and exterior grounds.

Our maintenance staff are key members of our property team who interact with our residents as they carry out general repairs and preventative maintenance which includes HVAC repair, electrical, plumbing, painting, and carpentry.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Full maintenance of apartments prior to new residents moving in
• Repairing and improving vacant and occupied apartments
• Completing resident service requests in a timely manner
• Accomplishing carpentry, plumbing, and painting tasks
• Performing preventative maintenance tasks
• Conducting move in/move out inspections
• Ensuring an adequate inventory level for required parts
• Ensuring service shop is clean and organized
• Assisting in the maintenance and cleanliness of the property’s indoor common areas
• Maintaining well-groomed grounds and building exteriors including, but not limited, to trash pickup and snow removal
• Adhering to established policies related to fair housing
