Job summary

Kelly Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician for a metals manufacturer in Lake Mary, FL. The role involves inspecting, repairing, and servicing machinery, maintaining preventative maintenance records, and supporting production and warehouse operations.

It requires a High School Diploma and hands-on maintenance experience. The position offers a starting pay of $17+ per hour, with a Monday–Friday 6:30am–2:30pm shift.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in building/warehouse maintenance, facilities, construction, manufacturing, or related field preferred.
• Able to troubleshoot routine building and facility maintenance issues.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general mechanical repairs.
• Able to read and follow instructions, maintenance procedures, and safety requirements.
• Can prioritize work orders and respond promptly to facility issues.
• Demonstrates strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Can communicate maintenance needs and completed work to management.

Responsibilities

• Inspecting, repairing, and servicing machinery including lasers, press brakes, punch presses, welding units, and more.
• Reviewing and updating scheduled preventative maintenance procedures and documents.
• Maintaining accurate records of maintenance, inspections, repairs, and work orders.
• Performing routine building and warehouse maintenance, repairs, and general upkeep.
• Inspecting facility areas for maintenance needs or damage.
• Carrying out basic repairs involving plumbing, electrical fixtures, drywall, painting, carpentry, hardware, and doors.
• Maintaining and repairing warehouse equipment like carts, shelving, racks, and work areas.
• Replacing light bulbs, fixtures, filters, batteries, and other routine maintenance items.
• Keeping shop, storage, and common areas clean, safe, and organized.
• Assisting with moving and organizing materials, supplies, and equipment.
• Maintaining exterior areas and supporting weather-related facility responses.
• Managing inventory of janitorial and maintenance supplies.
• Using hand tools, power tools, ladders, lifts, and other equipment safely.
• Coordinating with outside contractors and service technicians as directed.
• Supporting production and warehouse operations with facility-related tasks.
