Job summary

Quality Talent Group is seeking a skilled maintenance technician for a global leader in building automation and industrial technology. The role involves inspecting and repairing plant and mobile equipment, performing welds, and upholding safety standards in a heavy industry setting.

Candidates should have at least two years of mechanical repair experience, plus working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems and welding.

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED.
• Minimum of two (2) years experience in mechanical repair, installation, and construction in heavy industry.
• Working knowledge of basic electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems as well as the use of all shop equipment such as welding and machining equipment.
• Lock-Out/Tag-Out experience
• Welding experience

Responsibilities

• Inspects condition and operation of plant and mobile equipment and performs necessary repairs, adjustments, and preventative maintenance including handling welding repairs.
• Completes work orders in a timely manner, installing, repairing and fabricating materials out of metal; ensuring availability and functioning of required items; and ensuring safety and resolving immediate safety concerns.
• Responsible for preparing and welding steel and aluminum structures, appendages and equipment.
• Conducts routine inspections of plant and mobile equipment and report findings to Area Manager.
• Responds to emergency situations as needed and/or assigned for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns.
