Job summary

A skilled maintenance technician position is open with a global player in building automation and industrial technology. You will inspect, repair, and fabricate steel/aluminum structures, perform welding tasks, and ensure safe, efficient operation of plant and mobile equipment.

The role requires at least two years of heavy industry experience, knowledge of electrical/mechanical systems, and experience with welding and machining tools.

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED required.
• Minimum of two (2) years experience in mechanical repair, installation, and construction in heavy industry.
• Working knowledge of basic electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems; use of shop equipment like welding and machining equipment.
• Lock-Out/Tag-Out experience.
• Welding experience.

Responsibilities

• Inspects condition and operation of plant and mobile equipment and performs repairs, adjustments, and preventative maintenance including welding repairs.
• Completes work orders, installs, repairs and fabricates metal structures and components; ensures safety and readiness of items.
• Responsible for preparing and welding steel and aluminum structures, appendages and equipment.
• Conducts routine inspections and reports findings to Area Manager.
• Responds to emergency situations to resolve safety concerns.
