Job summary

Quality Talent Group is seeking a Maintenance Technician for a leading heavy industry client in Louisiana. You will inspect and repair plant equipment, perform welding, fabricate metal structures, and handle preventive maintenance to keep operations safe and productive.

The role requires 2+ years in mechanical repair in heavy industry, knowledge of electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic systems, and experience with lock-out/tag-out procedures; welding experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in mechanical repair, installation, and construction in heavy industry.
• Knowledge of basic electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems and use of shop equipment (welding and machining).
• Lock-Out/Tag-Out experience.
• Welding experience.

Responsibilities

• Inspects condition and operation of plant and mobile equipment and performs repairs, adjustments, and preventative maintenance including welding repairs.
• Completes work orders, installs, repairs and fabricates metal structures and equipment; ensures safety and availability of items.
• Conducts routine inspections and reports findings to Area Manager.
• Responds to emergency situations to resolve safety concerns.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two (2) years experience in mechanical repair, installation, and construction in heavy industry.
• Working knowledge of basic electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems as well as the use of all shop equipment such as welding and machining equipment.

Responsibilities

• Completes work orders in a timely manner, installing, repairing and fabricating materials out of metal; ensuring availability and functioning of required items; and ensuring safety and resolving immediate safety concerns.
• Responsible for preparing and welding steel and aluminum structures, appendages and equipment.
• Conducts routine inspections of plant and mobile equipment and report findings to Area Manager.
• Responds to emergency situations as needed and/or assigned for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns.
