Job summary

Spherion Staffing, LLC is hiring a Maintenance Technician II to independently troubleshoot, repair, and maintain automated equipment and facility systems in our Indiana plant. This role handles mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues to keep production running smoothly.

Shifts include 1st and 2nd with a $2 shift differential for 2nd shift; base pay is $25.00/hr plus benefits. A robust benefits package, paid holidays, and 401(k) matching are offered along with career growth

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Minimum of 3 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Industrial Maintenance certification or related trade credential preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and facility systems to minimize downtime.
• Inspect and maintain motors, conveyors, pumps, and production machines per manuals/schematics.
• Diagnose and fix electrical faults by interpreting ladder logic and tracing circuits; replace sensors/motors safely.
• Fabricate and weld components to maintain shop and plant equipment.
• Manage and support parts usage in the CMMS, support 6S safety initiatives, and coordinate with production teams for emergency repairs.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot & Repair: Isolate root causes and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and facility systems to minimize production downtime.
• Inspect & Maintain: Perform routine preventive maintenance on motors, conveyor systems, pumps, and production machines following manuals and schematics.
• Diagnose & Fix: Interpret basic electrical ladder logic, trace circuits, replace sensors/motors, and resolve electrical and control faults safely using meters.
• Fabricate & Weld: Perform routine welding, metal fabrication, and part repairs to maintain shop and plant equipment.
• Manage & Support: Track parts usage in the CMMS, support 6S safety initiatives, and coordinate directly with production teams to address unscheduled emergency repairs.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma required.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.

Technical Capabilities

• Ability to read blueprints/schematics, operate shop equipment, and use a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, bend/crawl under machinery, and operate or get certified on a scissor lift.

Background & Compliance

• Must pass a drug screen (including marijuana); background check requires no felonies within the last 7 years (misdemeanors welcome).

Tools

• Must provide your own basic hand tools (specialized tools provided by the company).
