Core Linen Services in the United States operates a busy commercial laundry plant, seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician to keep machinery running safely and efficiently. You will perform preventive maintenance, address breakdowns, and coordinate with the engineering team to minimize downtime.

This role requires strong teamwork, clear communication with Production Supervisors, adherence to lockout/tag out and other safety procedures, and the ability to work independently when needed.

Responsibilities

• Complete preventive maintenance activities on all assigned equipment according to set schedules.
• Ensure maintenance and repairs are performed promptly and to a high standard, including work on overhead rail systems and conveyor systems.
• Assist technical and mechanical personnel, including outside vendors, as needed.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs, documenting incomplete tasks and new problems.
• Notify Production Supervisors of equipment issues that could affect production or cause downtime, and communicate when equipment is returned to service.
• Adhere to and promote all safety procedures, including lockout/tag out, confined space entry, and safe operation of hot equipment.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area for yourself and others.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support plant operations.

As a Maintenance Technician, you play a vital role in ensuring the continuous, efficient, and safe operation of all equipment within our commercial laundry plant. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for a broad range of scheduled and non-scheduled maintenance tasks. You will oversee the operational integrity of machinery and equipment during production, swiftly address any technical issues, and carry out both preventive and emergency repairs as needed. This includes monitoring production systems, identifying problems such as jams or missing components, and working collaboratively with our engineering team for advanced technical support. The Maintenance Technician must demonstrate a proactive approach, always seeking to maximize equipment uptime and minimize any disruption to production.

Your responsibilities will include routine preventive maintenance, timely repairs, and the upkeep of detailed maintenance logs. You will interact with both internal team members and external vendors, ensuring equipment is maintained to the highest standard.
