Job summary

Core Linen Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our commercial laundry processing team. You will maintain, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on conveyors, overhead rail systems, and other plant equipment to ensure safe, efficient operation.

You will work with engineering and production teams, document maintenance activities, and uphold safety standards while helping to keep downtime to a minimum. This role rewards hands-on problem solving and teamwork.

• Maintain accurate maintenance logs and report equipment status.
• Alert production supervisors to downtime issues and provide updates when machinery is back online.
• Support safety protocols including lockout/tag out procedures, confined space entry, and safe operation of hot equipment.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety.
• Assist with additional tasks as assigned by management.

Maintenance Technician - Summary

• Responsible for maintaining, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance on commercial laundry plant equipment.
• Ensures efficient and safe operation of all assigned machinery, including conveyors, overhead rail systems, and mechanical drive systems.
• Collaborates with engineering and production teams for technical support and troubleshooting.
• Documents maintenance activities, communicates equipment status, and upholds company safety standards.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled preventive maintenance on a variety of commercial laundry equipment.
• Identify, diagnose, and resolve equipment issues such as jams, worn or missing belts, or missing ironer tape.
• Coordinate with technical staff and outside vendors for complex repairs or maintenance tasks.
• Maintain accurate records in the maintenance log, including incomplete tasks and newly identified problems.
• Alert production supervisors of equipment issues that impact production or cause downtime and provide updates when machinery is back online.
• Support and uphold all safety protocols, including lockout/tag out procedures, confined space entry, and safe operation of hot equipment.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure the safety of self and others.
• Assist with additional tasks and duties as assigned by management.
