As a Maintenance Technician, you will play an integral role in ensuring that laundry plant operations run smoothly and efficiently. Located in Oak Creek, WI, Core Linen Services operates a large-scale commercial laundry facility, where the Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing scheduled and non-scheduled maintenance tasks. The role involves maintaining a high level of awareness regarding the operation and condition of assigned equipment during production, and ensuring that all machinery is functioning optimally. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be expected to conduct preventive maintenance and address emergent repairs as needed, responding proactively to equipment issues such as jams, malfunctioning belts, or missing ironer tape. Collaboration with the Engineering team and other technical staff is a key component of this role, ensuring swift technical assistance and problem resolution. The Maintenance Technician position requires a team-oriented individual who can also function independently. Strong communication skills, a willingness to go the extra mile, and an ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision are essential. You must be proficient in operating tools and equipment safely, following all safety procedures such as lockout/tag out, confined space entry, and working with heated machinery. Maintaining a clean and safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues is paramount. In this Maintenance Technician role, you will perform preventive maintenance on a variety of equipment, including overhead rail and conveyor systems, to ensure minimal downtime and uninterrupted plant operations. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate maintenance logs, documenting incomplete tasks, new issues, and communicating equipment status updates to Production Supervisors. Additionally, you may assist technical and mechanical personnel, including outside vendors, as needed, and take on other duties as assigned to support plant maintenance objectives.
