Job summary

LR Management, the fastest growing property management company in Michigan, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team in Rochester Hills. You will perform general maintenance, repairs, and preventative work across apartments while delivering outstanding resident service.

We value dependability, a positive attitude, and self-motivation. This role involves varying tasks from carpentry to HVAC, with on-call availability and weekend work as needed to support our residents and property

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of verifiable general maintenance experience.
• Valid driver's license is required.
• Must be able to accommodate a flexible schedule, including weekends and on-call.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Full maintenance of apartments prior to new residents moving in.
• Repairing and improving vacant and occupied apartments.
• Completing resident service requests in a timely manner.
• Performing carpentry, plumbing, electrical and painting tasks.
• Conducting move in/move out inspections.
• Maintaining inventory for parts and keeping the shop organized.
• Assisting in cleanliness of indoor common areas and grounds.

LR Management is looking for a dependable and hard-working individual with previous apartment maintenance experience to join our team. The successful candidate will be a team player, have a positive attitude along with being self-motivated and self-directed.

Our maintenance staff are key members of our property team who interact with our residents as they carry out general repairs and preventative maintenance which includes HVAC repair, electrical, plumbing, painting, and carpentry.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Full maintenance of apartments prior to new residents moving in
• Repairing and improving vacant and occupied apartments
• Completing resident service requests in a timely manner
• Accomplishing carpentry, plumbing, and painting tasks
• Performing preventative maintenance tasksConducting move in/move out inspections
• Ensuring an adequate inventory level for required parts
• Ensuring service shop is clean and organized
• Assisting in the maintenance and cleanliness of the property’s indoor common areas
• Maintaining well-groomed grounds and building exteriors including, but not limited, to trash pickup and snow removal
• Adhering to established policies related to fair housing
