Job summary

LR Management is seeking a dependable Maintenance Technician in Michigan to perform general apartment maintenance, repairs, and preventative tasks. You will interact with residents and help ensure apartments are ready for turnover, while maintaining common areas and grounds.

The role requires 1–3 years of maintenance experience, a valid driver’s license, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Weekend/on-call availability is expected.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of verifiable general maintenance experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to accommodate a flexible schedule, including weekends and being on-call.

Responsibilities

• Perform full maintenance of apartments prior to new residents moving in.
• Repair and improve vacant and occupied apartments.
• Complete resident service requests promptly.
• Accomplish carpentry, plumbing, and painting tasks.
• Performing preventative maintenance tasks; conduct move in/move out inspections.
• Maintain inventory for required parts and keep shop organized.
• Assist in maintenance and cleanliness of common areas and building exteriors including snow removal.

Our maintenance staff are key members of our property team who interact with our residents as they carry out general repairs and preventative maintenance which includes HVAC repair, electrical, plumbing, painting, and carpentry.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Full maintenance of apartments prior to new residents moving in
• Repairing and improving vacant and occupied apartments
• Completing resident service requests in a timely manner
• Accomplishing carpentry, plumbing, and painting tasks
• Performing preventative maintenance tasksConducting move in/move out inspections
• Ensuring an adequate inventory level for required parts
• Ensuring service shop is clean and organized
• Assisting in the maintenance and cleanliness of the property’s indoor common areas
• Maintaining well-groomed grounds and building exteriors including, but not limited, to trash pickup and snow removal
• Adhering to established policies related to fair housing
