Job summary

Newbury Living in Perry, IA is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our friendly team. You’ll maintain apartment homes, perform turnovers, and help keep residents safe and comfortable with reliable service.

The role covers HVAC, plumbing, and electrical work, preventative maintenance, inspections, and after-hours emergency response. A valid Iowa driver’s license and 3+ years in apartment maintenance are preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of apartment maintenance experience preferred.
• Experience with HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Valid Iowa driver’s license and vehicle insurance.
• Able to pass a background check and drug screening.
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Performing apartment turnovers and ensuring units are move-in ready.
• Handling maintenance repairs across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general systems.
• Conducting preventative maintenance to keep everything running smoothly.
• Completing property inspections and coordinating with vendors as needed.
• Providing exceptional resident service and communication.
• Participating in after-hours emergency response/coordination.

Your Day-to-Day Will Include:

• Performing apartment turnovers and ensuring units are move-in ready

Who You Are:

• Experienced in HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems

• Holds a valid Iowa driver's license and vehicle insurance
