Job summary

MSW Machinery Solutions in Novi, MI is seeking a Maintenance Technician with travel options to install, assemble and repair equipment and piping for customers. You will perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot hydraulic and electrical systems, read blueprints and work with customers and team members to complete repairs on time.

Qualified candidates have at least 2 years in machinery or building maintenance, strong hands-on skills with power and hand tools, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• 2 years experience in machinery and/or building maintenance.
• Demonstrate competency in one or more trades: structural steel welding, pipefitting and plumbing, millwright and machinery rigging.
• Ability to calculate basic mathematical problems.
• Ability to walk, stand, and lift for an extended period of time.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Maintain a valid driver's license.
• Pass periodic observed drug screening.
• Pass a criminal background check.

Maintenance Technician (Travel Options)

Job Description:

• Without direct supervision, provide for the Installation, assembly and repair of equipment, piping and structures related to the building.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance and service.
• Be skilled with a variety of power and hand tools to perform job functions.
• Understand instructions and complete repairs and part replacements to the satisfaction of the customer in a timely manner.
• Work effectively with the customer and other team members.
• Submit daily work reports and maintain a written record of the work performed.
• Machine trouble shooting.
• Good hydraulic and electrical trouble shooting skills - must be SKILLED.
• Good blueprint skills.
• Mechanically sound.

Qualifications:
