Job summary

MSW Machinery Solutions is seeking a Maintenance Technician with travel options to install, assemble, and repair equipment, piping, and building structures. The role covers preventative maintenance, machine troubleshooting, and close collaboration with customers and team members.

The ideal candidate will have 2 years of experience in machinery or building maintenance, plus skills in welding, pipefitting, millwrighting, or rigging, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• 2 years experience in machinery and/or building maintenance.
• Competency in one or more trades: structural steel welding, pipefitting/plumbing, millwright and machinery rigging.
• Ability to calculate basic mathematical problems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, assemble and repair equipment, piping and structures related to the building.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance and service.
• Use a variety of power and hand tools.
• Submit daily work reports and maintain records of work performed.
• Machine troubleshooting, including hydraulics and electrical systems.

Maintenance Technician (Travel Options)

• Without direct supervision, provide for the Installation, assembly and repair of equipment, piping and structures related to the building.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance and service.
• Be skilled with a variety of power and hand tools to perform job functions.
• Understand instructions and complete repairs and part replacements to the satisfaction of the customer in a timely manner.
• Work effectively with the customer and other team members.
• Submit daily work reports and maintain a written record of the work performed.
• Machine troubleshooting.
• Injection molding.
• Good hydraulic and electrical troubleshooting skills – must be SKILLED.
• Good blueprint skills.
• Mechanically sound.

Qualifications

• 2 years experience in machinery and/or building maintenance.
• Demonstrate competency in one or more of the following trades:
  • Structural steel welding.
  • Pipefitting and plumbing.
  • Millwright and machinery rigging.
• Ability to calculate basic mathematical problems.
• Ability to walk, stand, and lift for an extended period of time.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Maintain a valid driver's license.
• Pass periodic observed drug screening.
• Pass a criminal background check.
