Job summary

MSW Machinery Solutions is seeking a Maintenance Technician in a travel-capable role to install, assemble and repair equipment, piping, and related structures. The position requires hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting of hydraulics and electronics, and collaboration with customers and team members.

Travel and out-of-town work are supported with pre-paid daily expenses and company-provided PPE certifications. Local hires are preferred for long-term assignments.

Qualifications

• 2 years experience in machinery and/or building maintenance.
• Competency in one or more trades such as structural steel welding, pipefitting & plumbing, millwright & machinery rigging.
• Ability to calculate basic math problems.
• Ability to walk, stand, and lift for extended periods.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Maintain a valid driver's license.
• Pass periodic drug screening and a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Install, assemble and repair equipment, piping and structures related to the building.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance and service.
• Understand instructions and complete repairs and part replacements in a timely manner.
• Work effectively with customers and team members.
• Submit daily work reports and keep written records of work.
• Troubleshoot machines and injection molding processes.
• Possess good hydraulic and electrical troubleshooting skills and blueprint reading.

Maintenance Technician (Travel Options)

• Without direct supervision, provide for the Installation, assembly and repair of equipment, piping and structures related to the building.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance and service.
• Be skilled with a variety of power and hand tools to perform job functions.
• Understand instructions and complete repairs and part replacements to the satisfaction of the customer in a timely manner.
• Work effectively with the customer and other team members.
• Submit daily work reports and maintain a written record of the work performed.
• Machine troubleshooting.
• Injection molding.
• Good hydraulic and electrical troubleshooting skills – must be SKILLED.
• Good blueprint skills.
• Mechanically sound.

Qualifications

• 2 years experience in machinery and/or building maintenance.
• Demonstrate competency in one or more of the following trades:
  • Structural steel welding.
  • Pipefitting and plumbing.
  • Millwright and machinery rigging.
• Ability to calculate basic mathematical problems.
• Ability to walk, stand, and lift for an extended period of time.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Maintain a valid driver's license.
• Pass periodic observed drug screening.
• Pass a criminal background check.
