Job summary

United Methodist Communities in Newton, NJ is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep a 74-acre senior living campus running smoothly. You’ll perform HVAC, boiler, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry tasks across apartments and common spaces, respond to work orders, and conduct preventive maintenance.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and 2 years of hands-on experience in carpentry, electrical, and plumbing.

  • Handle work orders from residents and staff, from a sticky door to a no-heat call.
  • Complete scheduled preventive maintenance to keep equipment running well.
  • Track your work and parts in WorxHub, our work order system.
  • Keep service and inspection records up to date.
  • Help order supplies, tools, and equipment.

Maintenance Technician Bristol Glen, a United Methodist Communities community | Newton, NJ

$20.90 to $22.20 per hour | Full-time

Earn $20.90 to $22.20 an hour keeping a 74-acre senior living campus in Newton running. You'll get full benefits and 9 paid holidays, and we aim to respond within 48 hours of your application.

Who you'll take care of

Bristol Glen residents live everywhere from their own apartments to memory support and skilled nursing, all on one campus. When someone's heat goes out on a January night or their sink won't stop dripping, you're the person who makes it right. The work changes every day because the campus has a little of everything.

What you'll do
  • Repair and maintain HVAC, boilers, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry in apartments, care areas, and common spaces

What you'll need

Required:

Schedule
  • Full-time, Monday - Friday 7:30am - 4pm
  • Weekend rotation every 5th week
