United Methodist Communities in Newton, NJ is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep a 74-acre senior living campus running smoothly. You’ll perform HVAC, boiler, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry tasks across apartments and common spaces, respond to work orders, and conduct preventive maintenance.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and 2 years of hands-on experience in carpentry, electrical, and plumbing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2 years of hands-on experience in carpentry, electrical, and plumbing.
• HVAC and boiler troubleshooting experience (nice to have).
• Maintenance experience in senior living, healthcare, hotels, or apartments (nice to have).

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain HVAC, boilers, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry in apartments, care areas, and common spaces.
• Handle work orders from residents and staff, from a sticky door to a no-heat call.
• Complete scheduled preventive maintenance to keep equipment running well.
• Track your work and parts in WorxHub, our work order system.
• Keep service and inspection records up to date.
• Help order supplies, tools, and equipment.
