Job summary

Hilton Garden Inn New Orleans French Quarter/CBD is seeking a friendly Maintenance Technician to help keep our hotel running smoothly and deliver a five-star guest experience. You will perform general repairs, routine preventive maintenance, and assist with housekeeping tasks as needed.

Ideal candidates have prior hotel maintenance experience, basic HVAC, plumbing and electrical knowledge, and the ability to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Prior maintenance experience in a hotel or similar environment is ideal.
• Basic HVAC, plumbing, and electrical knowledge.
• Familiar with PTAC units and fire protection knowledge is a plus.
• Excellent English communication skills, reading, writing and speaking fluently.
• Must be able to lift and move objects 50–100 lbs.
• Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to work independently and demonstrate a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repairs throughout the hotel.
• Troubleshoot issues to determine necessary repairs.
• Conduct daily preventive maintenance and programs.
• Assist with housekeeping duties as needed.
• Maintain the building exterior and respond to work orders and service calls.

Responsibilities

In this role you will be responsible for performing general maintenance and repairs throughout the hotel, troubleshooting issues to determine necessary repairs, performing routine maintenance and preventative maintenance programs, and assisting with housekeeping duties as needed. You will also be responsible for maintaining the building exterior and responding to work orders and service calls to guest rooms in a timely manner.

• Prior maintenance experience in a hotel or similar environment is ideal
• Hilton brand experience is beneficial
• Familiar with basic HVAC, plumbing, drywall PTAC units and electrical systems
• Knowledge of fire protection and life safety systems is also a plus
• Excellent English communication skills and able to read, write and speak fluently
• Must be able to lift and move objects 50 lbs up to 100 lbs
• Schedule flexibility including weekends, and holidays
• Work independently
• Strong work ethic
