Job summary

Express Employment Professionals in Wisconsin is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform emergency and scheduled maintenance on production equipment, troubleshoot systems, and interpret manuals and blueprints to determine repair procedures.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1 year minimum experience with production or paper converting machinery.
• 2 years PLC/Allen Bradley/HMI experience or related associate degree accepted.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, PLCs, HVAC, and basic welding techniques.
• Forklift certification (initial) and aerial-lift certification required (annual).
• Must hold a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform emergency and scheduled maintenance on production equipment to minimize downtime.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Use hand tools, power tools, meters, and material handling equipment to perform daily tasks.
• Interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and work orders to determine repair procedures.
• Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance on machines and facility systems.
• Maintain HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and general building repairs as needed.
• Identify and report faulty operations or materials to management.
• Operate forklifts, tow motors, and other lift equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Represent the company professionally during internal and external interactions.
• Complete other tasks and assignments as directed by management.

Job description

Hours:

1st Shift: Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 5:00pm

3rd Shift: Monday - Friday, 10:00pm - 6:00am

Pay:$28.00 - $32.00/HR

Duties:

• Perform emergency and scheduled maintenance on production equipment to minimize downtime
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
• Use hand tools, power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment to perform daily tasks
• Interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and work orders to determine repair procedures

• 2 years of experience with PLCs such as Allen Bradley, and HMI or an associate degree or equivalent in electrical engineering technology or electronic systems will be accepted.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, PLCs, HVAC systems, and basic welding techniques
• Proficiency with hand tools and measurement instruments
• Basic computer and math skills
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and organizational abilities
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Forklift certification (initial and renewal every 3 years) and aerial lift certification required (annual)
• Must hold a valid driver’s license
• Flexibility to work varied shifts and be available for on-call support
• Occasional travel may be required
