Job summary

Vytex Windows in Laurel, MD is seeking a Maintenance Technician to maintain all operational equipment and facility infrastructure. The role involves process setup, coordinating downtime and preventative maintenance with other departments, and communicating issues and parts with the maintenance team.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of industrial mechanic experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and knowledge of PLCs, electrical standards, and OSHA regulations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' industrial mechanic experience or equivalent training.
• Hands-on troubleshooting: CNC, Pneumatic, Hydraulic and Multi- Processing equipment.
• Experience with Preventative Maintenance Programs (PMs).
• Knowledge of PLCs and electrical standards.
• Ability to read electrical, hydraulics and pneumatic schematics and blueprints.
• Strong written, interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
• Knowledge and application of OSHA regulations.
• Act as a liaison with vendors when necessary.
• Ability to work flexible and/or extended hours.

MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

We have been an established window manufacturing and installation company since 1988 looking for a Maintenance Technician at our Laurel, MD office. We are committed to providing exceptional customer service that's second to none in the industry, as well as providing a great workplace.

HOURS:

3PM-3:30AM Weekends

SALARY:

$23-$25/HR

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain all operational equipment and facility infrastructure


• Facilitate process set-up and start-up as needed


• Collaborate with other functional departments in the scheduling of downtime and PM repairs


• Communicate with maintenance team on problems, resolutions, and parts


• Other duties as assigned

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum 2 years' industrial mechanic experience or equivalent training


• Technically sound and hands-on in troubleshooting: CNC / Pneumatic / Hydraulic and Multi- Processing type equipment


• Experience with PM's (Preventative Maintenance Programs)


• Knowledge of PLC's


• Knowledge of electrical standards and applications


• Strong experience in steel fabrication


• Ability to read blueprints; electrical; hydraulics and pneumatic schematics


• Strong written, interpersonal, communication and organizational skills


• Detailed and results oriented


• Knowledge and application of OSHA regulations


• Act as a liaison with vendors when necessary


• Ability to work flexible and/or extended hours depending on demands

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Ability to climb and move around machinery


• Ability to kneel, stand or bend and be able to lift 50+ pounds
