Job summary

Flaherty & Collins Properties is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep our apartment communities in top condition in Kansas City, KS. You will handle routine maintenance and repair tasks, troubleshoot HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and respond to resident requests with professionalism.

You’ll work with the Maintenance Supervisor and Property Manager to prioritize and complete work orders, while ensuring safety standards are met. On-call duties and weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• HVAC/EPA certifications are preferred.
• Hands-on maintenance experience with HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems.
• Able to respond to after-hours emergencies and weekends.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on property systems.
• Troubleshoot HVAC, plumbing, electrical and other equipment as needed.
• Address resident maintenance requests promptly and professionally.
• Conduct property inspections and identify maintenance needs.
• Collaborate with supervision to prioritize and complete work orders.
• Participate in on-call rotations and assist with snow/ice removal as needed.
