Job summary

Flaherty & Collins Properties is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Indianapolis, IN. You will perform routine and preventive maintenance on property systems, troubleshoot HVAC, plumbing, and electrical issues, and respond to resident maintenance requests to keep units in top condition.

You will collaborate with the Maintenance Supervisor and Property Manager, participate in on-call rotations, and assist with turnovers, safety checks, and seasonal duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (or equivalent) required.
• HVAC/EPA certifications preferred.
• Hands-on maintenance experience in HVAC, plumbing, electrical.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on property systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems.
• Address resident maintenance requests promptly and professionally.
• Conduct inspections and prioritize work orders with the team.
• Handle after-hours emergencies and participate in on-call rotation.
• Assist with apartment turnovers and snow/ice removal.

As a Maintenance Technician at Flaherty & Collins Properties, you’ll have the chance to showcase your skills, tackle a variety of tasks, and make a meaningful impact on the lives of our residents.What You'll Do:Perform routine and preventive maintenance tasks, ensuring all property systems and equipment are in excellent working condition.Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other systems as needed.Address and resolve resident maintenance requests promptly and professionally.Conduct property inspections to identify and address maintenance needs proactively.Collaborate with the Maintenance Supervisor and Property Manager to prioritize and complete work orders efficiently.Ensure the property meets safety standards and complies with applicable regulations.Maintain an organized inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies.Assist with apartment turnovers, ensuring units are move-in ready for new residents.Respond to emergency maintenance issues, including after-hours calls when necessary.Perform snow and ice removal.Participate in an on-call rotation to respond to after-hours maintenance emergencies.
