Bishop Drumm Retirement Center in Johnston, Iowa is hiring a full-time Maintenance Technician to support a faith-based community. You will perform building and equipment maintenance across electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry tasks, respond to safety concerns, and complete work orders with a focus on reliability and resident safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Maintenance experience, ideally in healthcare or senior living.
• Knowledge of building systems and safe use of hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform building and equipment maintenance, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry tasks.
• Complete work orders and preventative maintenance assignments promptly and professionally.
• Assist with seasonal projects, snow removal, and groundskeeping.
• Monitor safety systems, respond to emergencies, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Pay Range: $19–$23/hour
Shift: 8:00 am-4:30 pm
