Job summary

Cottage Grove Place in Cedar Rapids, IA is seeking a hospitality-focused Maintenance Technician to join our team. We emphasize front-line service and caring for residents in a friendly environment, performing maintenance and repairs as part of our stable, mission-driven community.

The role includes basic maintenance, painting, minor repairs, preventive tasks, snow removal in winter, and helping with housekeeping as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one (1) year experience in basic maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic maintenance duties and repairs.
• Performs painting and refurbishing projects, as directed by supervisor.
• Performs minor building and equipment repairs and maintains all tools, equipment and supplies in proper condition.
• Performs routine preventive maintenance.
• Assists during winter with snow removal efforts.
• May assist in general housekeeping, as needed.
• Measures Areas to be painted; determines Quantity and type of paint to use.
• Prepares surfaces to be painted, including but not limited to removing covers, furniture, etc.
• May Apply Wallpaper.
