Job summary

Bishop Drumm, a CHI Living Communities facility in Des Moines, IA, is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to maintain, repair, and install plumbing, electrical, HVAC, refrigeration, and appliance systems, and perform general maintenance. You will work to keep residents safe and comfortable.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of progressive maintenance experience, with 1-2 years in senior living or healthcare setting.
• High School Diploma or GED; vocational/technical certification preferred.
• Ability to perform preventive maintenance and respond to maintenance requests promptly.

Responsibilities

• Keeps plumbing systems and fixtures in good working order; completes work orders promptly.
• Maintains, repairs, and installs electrical systems; monitors safety systems and responds to emergencies.
• Maintains, repairs, and installs HVAC and refrigeration equipment and systems.
• Maintains, repairs, and installs appliances as needed.
• Performs general maintenance tasks and adheres to CHI safety standards.
• Meets in-service requirements mandated by CHI Living Communities and regulators.

Summary
The Maintenance Technician II maintains, repairs, and installs plumbing, electrical, HVAC, refrigeration, and appliances systems and components andperforms general maintenance.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Keeps plumbing systems and fixtures in good working order.Complete work orders and preventative maintenance assignments promptly and professionally.
• Performs maintenance, repairs, and installs electrical systems and components.Monitor safety systems, respond to emergencies, and ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory standards.
• Performs maintenance, repairs, and installs of HVAC and refrigeration equipment and systems.
• Performs maintenance, repairs, and installs appliances.
• Performs tasks of general maintenance.
• Satisfies all educational in-service requirements mandated by CHI Living Communities, the department, external accrediting, and regulatory agencies.

Job Requirements
