Job summary

Cottage Grove Place in Cedar Rapids, IA is seeking a hospitality-focused Maintenance Technician to join our team. You will perform basic maintenance, painting, repairs, and assist with preventive tasks to support a comfortable living environment for residents.

The role requires at least one year of maintenance experience and offers a comprehensive benefits package for full-time staff, including health, dental, vision, and retirement plans.

• Minimum of one (1) year experience in basic maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic maintenance duties and repairs.
• Performs painting and refurbishing projects, as directed by supervisor.
• Performs minor building and equipment repairs and maintains all tools, equipment and supplies in proper condition.
• Performs routine preventive maintenance.
• Assists during winter with snow removal efforts.
• May assist in general housekeeping, as needed.
• Measures Areas to be painted; determines Quantity and type of paint to use.
• Prepares surfaces to be painted, including but not limited to removing covers, furniture, etc.
• May Apply Wallpaper.
