Job summary

Leviat is seeking a 1st shift Maintenance Technician to perform overall maintenance and repair of equipment, tools and machinery. You will install, adjust and repair production equipment, keep the work area clean, and test and repair machinery as needed.

Responsibilities include replacing faulty parts, installing electrical components, and inspecting equipment for proper function. This role requires strong safety discipline in a non-climate-controlled facility.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Very strong safety ethics required.
  • Keeps work area clean.
  • Reports unsafe conditions or defective equipment to the supervisor immediately.
  • Operates machinery or equipment as trained and instructed while following safety guidelines at all times.
  • Must be able to read a tape measure.
  • Must be able to demonstrate lock out tag out procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Install, adjust and repair production equipment and special purpose machines as assigned.
  • Keep work area in a clean and organized state.
  • Test malfunctioning machinery, determine repairs and discuss with supervisor for approval and repair as needed.
  • Replace faulty parts, electrical wires, motors, controls and circuit boards.
  • Install equipment and electrical components and test to ensure proper functioning.
  • Observe mechanical devices and equipment and listen to sounds to determine proper functioning or identify causes of trouble.
  • Dismantle equipment to gain access to and remove defective parts using hoists, cranes, hand tools and power tools.

Job Description Summary

Leviat is seeking a 1st shift Maintenance Technician to perform overall maintenance and repair of equipment, tools and machinery as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor or Manager.



  • Install, adjust and repair production equipment and special purpose machines as assigned.

  • Keep work area in a clean and organized state.

  • Test malfunctioning machinery, determine repairs and discuss with supervisor for approval and repair as needed .

  • Replacefaultyparts,electricalwires,motors,controlsandcircuit boards.

Physical Environment


  • Capability to lift items weighing up to 40 pounds.

  • Capability to stand or walk for extended periods, up to 8 hours.

  • This position may require various physical activities, including but not limited to walking, standing, bending, stretching, and using hands and fingers to grasp, push, and lift items.

  • Working in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing facility with exposure to heat, cold, dust and noise
