Leviat is seeking a Machine Operator in San Antonio, TX to operate hydraulic and mechanical presses and perform daily maintenance. The role requires reading drawings, using tape measures and calipers, and ensuring quality and safety standards are met.

Qualifications

• Basic arithmetic in all units of measure.

Responsibilities

• Operate hydraulic and mechanical presses daily.
• Perform daily inspection and pre-startup PM.
• Load and unload parts efficiently.
• Follow safety procedures and report issues promptly.
• Maintain tooling, dies, and machine controls in good condition.
• Ensure paperwork is completed accurately.

Job Summary

Responsible for the operation and daily maintenance of hydraulic and mechanical presses.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Performs daily inspection and pre-startup PM
• Ability to read drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece, sequence of operations, and setup requirements
• Starts and operates hydraulic and mechanical presses
• Load and unload machine in an efficient, productive manner
• Must be willing to accept and receive frequent supervision and assistance regarding machine set-up
• Individuals are consistently at work on time, follow instructions, respond to management direction and solicit feedback to improve performance
• Individuals observe safety and security procedures and use equipment and materials properly
• Responsible for keeping all tools, dies, machine controls in good, working condition – must report immediately to press supervisor if there are any problems with these items
• Ensure paperwork is filled out completely and accurately
• Clean-up of working area and entire surroundings
• Other duties may be assigned as needed

• This position may require various physical activities, including but not limited to walking, standing, bending, stretching, and using hands and fingers to grasp, push, and lift items.
