Jobtailor in Fort Dodge, IA is seeking a Maintenance Technician responsible for maintaining plant systems across facilities, unloading, processing, packing, and warehouse operations. You will troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical equipment, and perform maintenance on hydraulic, pneumatic, and instrumentation systems.

The role requires hands-on experience with motors, PLCs, multimeters, megohmmeters, and process simulators.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED plus 1+ years’ maintenance experience in manufacturing, technical, warehouse, industrial, military, or related environment.
  • Or a vocational certificate in Industrial Maintenance, Electrical, or Mechatronics or a completed 2-year technical degree.
  • Willingness to work nights and weekends.
  • This position is not eligible for Visa Sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain plant systems, including facilities, unloading, processing, packing, and warehouse operations.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical equipment.
  • Perform maintenance on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and instrumentation systems.
  • Troubleshoot electrical control systems, including motors and PLCs.
  • Use multimeters, megohmmeters, and process simulators.
  • Repair gear reducers, belt and screw conveyors, chain elevators, and packaging equipment.
  • Maintain wastewater systems, boiler operations, cooling towers, and general building needs.
  • Complete predictive maintenance, including vibration analysis and oil sample collection.
  • Promote machine reliability and process improvements while working safely.

Job description
