Qualifications

  • Diagnose equipment failures and minimize production downtime.
  • Read and interpret mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic diagrams.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
  • Follow all safety policies, procedures, and OSHA requirements.
  • Support equipment installation, start-up, and modifications.
  • Work with Production, Quality, and Engineering teams to resolve issues.

Job description

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving manufacturing equipment and facility systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient production operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Diagnose equipment failures and minimize production downtime.
  • Perform equipment inspections and identify potential maintenance issues.
  • Support equipment installation, start-up, and modifications.
  • Read and interpret mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic diagrams.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
  • Work closely with Production, Quality, and Engineering teams to resolve equipment issues.
  • Follow preventive maintenance schedules and maintenance procedures.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
  • Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and OSHA requirements.
  • Participate in continuous improvement and downtime-reduction initiatives.
  • Respond to equipment breakdowns and production emergencies as needed.
  • Maintain tools, spare parts, and maintenance equipment in good working condition.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Technical degree, certification, or vocational training in Industrial Maintenance, Electrical, Mechanical, or a related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in industrial/manufacturing maintenance preferred.
  • Experience with electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and equipment manuals.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, weekends, overtime, and/or different shifts as required.
Preferred Experience
  • Automotive or metal-mechanical manufacturing experience.
  • Experience with PLCs and industrial controls.
  • Welding and fabrication experience.
  • Experience with preventive maintenance systems.
  • Experience with stamping, welding, presses, conveyors, and automated production equipment.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and work in manufacturing areas for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and move tools, equipment, and materials as required.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, machinery, and varying temperatures.
