Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a skilled Multi-Craft Technician for a Houston, TX-based facility. The role covers mechanical and electrical maintenance on manufacturing and packing equipment, with emphasis on preventive maintenance and CMMS documentation.

Expect to inspect, troubleshoot, and repair conveyors, electrical panels, and related systems while maintaining spare parts inventory and compliance with safety policies.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience as a multi-craft technician.
• Knowledge of electrical, electronic, pneumatic and mechanical systems, including lighting, power distribution, drives, motors, bearings, conveyor systems preventative maintenance and repair, PLCs and CMMS.
• Ability to read simple electrical, mechanical and pneumatic drawings.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook).
• Ability to lift objects of various shapes, sizes and weights.
• Compliance with GXO COVID safety policies and applicable CDC, OSHA, state and local requirements.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot conveyor systems mechanically and electrically.

• Ability to read simple electrical, mechanical and pneumatic drawings
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
• Ability to lift objects of various shapes, sizes and weights
• Ability to stand, sit or walk for extended periods of time on various surfaces that may be uneven or slippery
• Ability to reach, bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat and kneel
• Ability to tolerate hot or cold warehouse environments
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test if required after a conditional offer
• Compliance with GXO COVID safety policies and applicable CDC, OSHA, state and local requirements
