Job summary

Staffmark Group is hiring a Maintenance Technician in Forest, VA to keep production equipment running smoothly. The role requires troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance on industrial systems, conveyors, and automated machinery.

Qualified candidates have at least 2 years in industrial/manufacturing maintenance, strong mechanical and electrical skills, and the ability to read manuals and SOPs. Schedule is Mon-Fri, 3 PM–11 PM; pay ranges from $24–$28/hour plus a $1 shift differential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of industrial maintenance or equipment repair experience.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Experience maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting production equipment, conveyors, inserters, forklifts, and automated machinery.
• Experience running air lines, conduit, and wiring for new or relocated equipment.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance (PM), predictive maintenance, and equipment reliability practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on production equipment and machinery to minimize downtime.
• Respond to equipment issues and production line stoppages to quickly diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and material-related problems.
• Conduct machine setups and support production operations to ensure equipment efficiency and reliability.
• Inspect equipment, identify potential failures, and implement corrective actions.
• Install replacement parts, perform repairs, and make necessary equipment adjustments.
• Lubricate machinery and complete scheduled preventive maintenance activities.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, repair logs, and work documentation.
• Assist operators with equipment troubleshooting and technical support.
• Train and mentor maintenance team members on troubleshooting techniques and preventive maintenance procedures.

Education Requirements

• Knowledge of OSHA regulations, lockout/tagout procedures, and workplace safety standards.
• Ability to identify process improvements and recommend equipment or maintenance enhancements.

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift and move up to 70 pounds.
• Comfortable working around production equipment and machinery in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work overtime, weekends, and flexible schedules as business needs require.
• Manual dexterity and mechanical aptitude required for equipment repair and maintenance activities.

Job Duties
