Job summary

Randstad in Edgerton, KS is seeking a Maintenance Technician 2 to troubleshoot and repair production machinery across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. You will support preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and keep production flowing.

We require 3–5 years of hands-on maintenance experience in manufacturing, a High School Diploma or GED, and the ability to read manuals and use standard tools and meters. First shift, 8 AM–5 PM.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to read equipment manuals and follow work orders.
• Preferred knowledge in electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, PLCs, or Servos.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic production equipment.
• Prepare and set up machinery for scheduled runs and perform preventive maintenance.
• Provide rapid emergency repairs and perform basic facility maintenance.
• Collaborate with Regulatory Compliance to maintain food safety and plant sanitation standards.

Your Opportunity: Maintenance Technician 2

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Troubleshoot & Innovate: Perform expert mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic diagnostics and repairs on production machinery.
• Keep Production Flowing: Prepare and set up machinery for scheduled runs while executing preventive maintenance to prevent downtime.
• Solve Critical Problems: Provide rapid emergency repairs during production and perform facility maintenance, including basic plumbing and carpentry.
• Partner in Quality: Collaborate with Regulatory Compliance to maintain top-tier food safety and plant sanitation standards.

What You Bring to the Team

• Experience: 3–5 years of hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
• Technical Skills: Proven ability to read equipment manuals, follow work orders, and safely utilize specialized hand/power tools, electrical meters, and material handling equipment.
• Preferred Knowledge: Specialized training in electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, PLCs, or Servos.
• Physical Capabilities: Comfortable sitting, standing, bending, climbing, and lifting up to 50 lbs in a fast-paced environment.
