Job summary

Spherion Staffing, LLC in Delavan, Wisconsin is seeking an experienced electromechanical technician for packaging automation systems. You will set up changeovers on cartoners, case packers, and other high-speed equipment, troubleshoot complex electrical/mechanical issues, and interface PLCs and HMIs to ensure proper I/O operation.

The role requires 3+ years in packaging automation, familiarity with ABB or FANUC robotics, and knowledge of servo drives and pneumatics.

Qualifications

• 3+ years working with automated packaging equipment in a manufacturing setting.
• Experience with root cause analysis and lean manufacturing (5S, Kaizen).
• Strong understanding of servo motors, VFDs, sensors, encoders, and pneumatics.

Job Description

Do you have experience working with packaging automation? Do you enjoy working with high speed packaging systems, automation and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems? Have you worked with Allen Bradley or Siemens PLC's? This position has a 4 day work week Monday - Thursday and excellent benefit package.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust and perform changeovers on automated packaging systems such as cartoners, case packers, flow wrappers, labelers and palletizers.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and control system issues.
• Interface PLCs and HMIs to diagnose I/O faults and ensure accurate equipment function.
• Perform preventative maintenance and predictive maintenance.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and ladder logic.

Working hours: 3:15 PM - 1:45 AM

Skills

• Associates degree in electromechanical technology, mechatronics, or equivalent hands on experience.
• Experience with industrial robotics ABB or FANUC a plus!
