Job summary

Spherion Staffing, LLC is hiring a Maintenance Technician for a direct-hire role in Eaton, Ohio, in a clean, climate-controlled facility. You will troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, operating machine shop tools as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in a technical field with 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Experience operating machine shop equipment (lathes, mills, drill presses).
• Prior experience in high-volume industrial manufacturing environments.
• Ability to operate CMMS and track maintenance work.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting & Repair: Identify root causes of machine breakdowns; dismantle, repair, and reassemble mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Electrical Maintenance: Install and repair electrical components, wiring, transformers, and electronic controls.
• Preventative Maintenance: Perform routine PMs, track work progress in a CMMS, and help maintain physical facility structures.
• Machining & Fabrication: Set up and operate machine shop tools to repair or fabricate parts, jigs, and fixtures.
• Continuous Improvement: Execute project work orders and collaborate with reliability teams to manage parts and tools.
• Working hours: 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM (Various Shifts Available)

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (or GED) with 5+ years of experience in electrical, technical, and mechanical equipment maintenance.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience in hydraulic, pneumatic, and piping systems.
• Proficiency in electrical troubleshooting and repair.
• Ability to track work and communicate through a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Flexibility to work assigned shift (Afternoon or Midnight) and overtime as needed.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work on your feet, and operate powered industrial equipment.
