Job description

Position Overview

The Maintenance Technician must work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. This 3rd shift position requires a self‑motivated individual willing to work safely in a team‑based system. They need to have the ability to schedule their work, prioritize their workload, and complete tasks in a timely manner. Good troubleshooting skills and root cause analysis skills are required to make proper repairs. Preventive and predictive skills are required to keep equipment running safe and efficient. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are a must. A desire for continuous improvement of technical skills and quality workmanship are required to meet our customers increasing demands.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical and electrical duties to keep machines, equipment, and facility in repair.
• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance functions for a variety of electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Report irregularities, maintenance needs, and quality problems to Supervisor and Crew Leader.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Crew Leader in a safe manner, according to all relevant codes.

Qualifications

The qualified candidate will have knowledge in the following areas:

• AC/DC wiring methods
• AC/DC drives/motors
• PLCs (Allen Bradley, Siemens, B&R, Beckhoff)
• Touchscreens
• Mechanical systems (bearing, alignment, chains, belts)
• Pneumatics and hydraulics
• Design and fabrication
• Preventive and predictive maintenance on production machinery
• Mill and lathe experience is a plus
