Job summary

Spherion Staffing, LLC in Indiana is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician for a premier industrial facility. You will lead the technical maintenance of advanced electrical systems, control panels, and automated machinery on the 2:00 PM–10:30 PM shift.

Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing malfunctions, calibrating and maintaining instruments, installing wiring, logging maintenance data in the EAM system, and safely operating fork trucks to move parts.

Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: 4-7 years.
  • Certifications & Licensures: Valid driver’s license and the ability to obtain and maintain a fork truck license.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of power distribution panels, semiconductor systems, simple closed-loop controls, and PLCs.
  • Physical Capability: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work at heights using ladders/lifts, and operate manual and power hand tools in restricted spaces.

Responsibilities

  • Calibrate, test, and perform preventive maintenance on instruments and automated systems.
  • Install and modify wiring and components according to blueprints and drawings.

Responsibilities
  • Diagnose & Repair: Identify root causes of electrical or electronic malfunctions and perform necessary repairs on control panels, circuits, and specialized equipment.
  • Calibrate & Maintain: Calibrate, test, and perform preventive maintenance on sensitive instruments, electronic apparatus, and automated systems.
  • Install & Modify: Lay conduit, run wiring, and assemble electrical components following detailed blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
  • Inspect & Record: Perform routine equipment inspections and accurately log maintenance data within an enterprise asset management (EAM) system.
  • Operate & Support: Safely operate material handling equipment, such as fork trucks and motorized carts, to move parts and support machine relocation or installation.

Working hours: 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM

Skills
  • PLC Expertise: Hands-on experience troubleshooting and programming Allen-Bradley and Siemens PLC systems.
  • Computer Literacy: Familiarity with logging, tracking, and processing maintenance records using EAM software.
