Job summary

Green Bay Packaging in De Pere, WI, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support production equipment and facilities. The role involves reading drawings, installing and aligning machinery, and performing preventive maintenance on pumps, conveyors, and pneumatic/hydraulic systems.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma and is working toward an associate degree; experience with PLCs, HMIs, and safety protocols is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Reading blueprints, diagrams, electrical schematic and hydraulic drawings to determine work requirements.
  • Install, align, dismantle, and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment according to layout plans using hand and power tools.
  • Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and find irregularities and malfunctions.
  • Install, troubleshoot and maintain power transmission, vacuum, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Adjust machinery and troubleshoot defective parts.
  • Operate hoisting and lifting devices to position machinery during installation, set-up and repair.
  • Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance on machinery.

Job description

Responsibilities

The qualified candidate is preferred but not required to have knowledge in the following areas:

  • AC/DC wiring methods
  • AC/DC drives/motors/ VFD's & servo motors
  • PLCs (Allen Bradley, Siemens, B&R, Beckhoff)
  • HMI
  • Mechanical systems (bearing, alignment, chains, belts)
  • Pneumatics and hydraulics
  • Design and fabricating is a plus but not required
  • Preventive & predictive maintenance on production machinery
  • Mill and Lathe experience is a plus but not required
  • Fanuc/Robot experience is a plus
  • Experience using a CMMS system
  • Conveyor systems

Qualifications

All candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent. The ideal candidate will have or be working towards a minimum of a 2-year associate degree.
