Job summary

Carlo’s Bakery in Jersey City, NJ is seeking a Maintenance Technician to oversee the daily upkeep of our baking facility, including ovens, conveyors, and packaging machinery. This role requires hands-on ability to troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.

You will follow safety protocols, document work, assist with equipment installation, and support a collaborative team that prides itself on craftsmanship and quality baked goods.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot, maintain, and repair machinery.
• Proficiency with electrical systems; reading electrical schematics is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and keen attention to detail; strong communication with team members.

Responsibilities

• Inspects and troubleshoots bakery machinery, including ovens, conveyors, and packaging machines.
• Performs preventive maintenance and minor repairs on production line machinery.
• Maintains routine maintenance on control circuitry, bearings, chains, and other moving parts.
• Assists with equipment assembly, installation, and adjustments.
• Follows safety protocols and maintains records of work performed.
• Performs basic woodwork tasks.
