Job summary

Carlo’s Bakery, home of the “Cake Boss,” seeks an Industrial Sanitation Specialist to maintain high-volume sanitation equipment and ensure top cleanliness in our Jersey City facility.

You will perform deep-cleaning, routine maintenance, and operate large-scale sanitation gear, with duties spanning safety, waste handling, and inventory oversight.

Qualifications

• Experience: Proven experience working with industrial dishwashing machines or in a commercial sanitation environment.
• Physical stamina: Lift up to 50 lbs, stand long hours, tolerate hot, humid conditions.
• Safety knowledge: Familiarity with chemical handling (HAZMAT/WHMIS) and PPE usage.

Responsibilities

• Equipment Maintenance: Daily/weekly/monthly deep-cleaning of industrial dishwashers and sanitation machinery.
• Chemical Safety: Handle, mix, and monitor cleaning chemicals per OSHA and safety guidelines.
• Quality Control: Inspect cleaned items and machinery for health, safety and sanitization compliance.
• Waste Management: Clear debris, empty traps, dispose waste from washing systems.
• Stock Management: Monitor cleaning supplies, report maintenance issues to supervisors.

Industrial Sanitation Specialist

We are seeking a reliable Industrial Sanitation Specialist to maintain high-volume commercial dishwashing machinery and ensure the highest standards of cleanliness in our facility. In this role, you will be responsible for operating, deep-cleaning, and performing routine maintenance on large-scale industrial sanitation equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Equipment Maintenance: Execute daily, weekly, and monthly deep-cleaning protocols for industrial dishwashers and sanitation machinery.
• Chemical Safety: Handle, mix, and monitor specialized cleaning chemicals and detergents according to OSHA and safety guidelines.
• Quality Control: Inspect cleaned items and machinery to ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitization regulations.
• Waste Management: Clear debris, empty traps, and safely dispose of waste materials from the washing systems.
• Stock Management: Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and report maintenance issues to supervisors immediately.
