Job summary

Prominence Hospitality Group is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician for Courtyard by Marriott Champaign to keep guest rooms, public spaces, and equipment in top condition. This on-site role partners with housekeeping and front desk to maintain a seamless guest experience.

The ideal candidate brings hands-on maintenance experience, basic HVAC/plumbing/electrical knowledge, and a proactive, safety-conscious mindset. Weekend/evening/on-call flexibility is a plus.

Qualifications

• Prior maintenance or facilities experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to use hand tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Clear verbal and written communication to report issues and updates.
• Positive, proactive, team-first attitude and flexibility for weekends/evenings/on-call.

Responsibilities

• Daily upkeep of rooms, common areas, and equipment to ensure proper functioning.
• Respond to maintenance requests for HVAC, plumbing, lighting, furniture, and appliances.
• Assist with preventive maintenance schedules to prevent equipment failures.
• Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with codes and brand standards.
• Collaborate with housekeeping and front office to resolve issues and keep property guest-ready.

What You’ll Do as a Maintenance Technician
