Job summary

Spectra-Tech Manufacturing Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support production and facility equipment used to assemble electronic assemblies. You will perform routine facilities maintenance, replace components, and assist machine operators.

The role requires reading schematics, using power tools, and following OSHA/LOTO rules in a manufacturing environment. A high school diploma or GED and 2 years of electromechanical maintenance experience are preferred.

Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED.
  • Experience: 2 years on electromechanical equipment, SMT placement equipment, or industrial equipment maintenance preferred.
  • Physical / Cognitive: Manufacturing environment with standing, bending, and lifting.
  • Equipment: Knowledge of manufacturing equipment and facility systems.
  • Work Environment: Electronics manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine facilities maintenance such as replacing lights, HVAC filters, belts, plumbing; repairing wiring, doors, weather stripping.
  • Remove and replace defective parts by dismantling devices using hoists, lifts, tow motors, and hand/power tools.
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on production and facility equipment, including cleaning, lubrication, and inspection.
  • Fabricate or modify parts using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
  • Set up, align, and calibrate new factory machines from manuals and blueprints.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, motor control, conveyors, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems.

This position is eligible for a $500.00 hiring/retention bonus!

Off at noon on FRIDAYS!

Hours: M-Th, 6:00am-3:15pm

Salary Range: $47,840-$60,320 based on experience

Summary: Maintenance technician responsible for supporting all Spectra-Tech production and facility equipment utilized to produce electronic assemblies.

Responsibilities/ Principal Duties
  • Perform routine facilities maintenance such as replacing light bulbs, replacing HVAC filters and belts, repairing broken or leaking plumbing; repairing, replacing , or installing new electrical wiring, fixing doors, repairing weather stripping, etc.
  • Remove and replace defective parts by dismantling devices utilizing various tools such as hoists, lifts, tow motors, hand and power tools.
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on all production and facility equipment including but not limited to cleaning parts, lubricating parts, replacing worn components, inspection and verification of equipment.
  • Fabricate, modify, or repair parts using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
  • Set up, align, and calibrate new factory machines using technical manuals and blueprints.
  • Perform troubleshooting and repair to any broken or failing mechanical systems, motor controls, conveyors, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems on the production or facility equipment as needed.
  • Must read schematics, use power tools, and understand basic Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs)
  • Perform maintenance per issued work orders and log completed orders in the Maintenance Management system.
  • Follow strict rules like Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and OSHA guidelines to maintain a safe workspace.
  • Maintain equipment parts and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level and coordinate with the Purchasing department to acquire needed items.
  • Provide technical and training support for machine operators.
  • Maintain effective line operation during production hours.
  • Report any major malfunctions or ongoing issues to top management.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or GED.

Experience: In-depth knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems maintenance. Two years-experience on electromechanical equipment, SMT placement equipment, or industrial equipment maintenance is preferred.

Physical / Cognitive Requirements: All work is performed in a manufacturing environment. The position requires prolonged standing, bending, and lifting.

Equipment: Knowledge of and skills in the use of manufacturing equipment and facility systems.

Work Environment: Job functions will be performed in an electronics manufacturing environment.

This position requires a pre-employment background check and drug test.
