Job summary

Primient is seeking a Maintenance Technician to help ensure safe operation of our highly automated, state-of-the-art process. You will plan, lay out, and perform diversified installation, maintenance, and repair tasks to keep pumps, pipes, vessels, motors, and other equipment in optimal condition.

You will learn all aspects of Technical Process Operation via progressive training and may mentor others as you develop expertise on the Maintenance Career Path.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma or the equivalent.
• 3+ years of chemical or industrial manufacturing experience preferred.
• Experience working on hydraulic and pneumatic systems and troubleshooting issues.
• Knowledge of pumps, compressors, distillation systems, reactors, centrifuges, filtration and evaporation systems preferred.
• Experience working a rotating shift schedule.
• Able to communicate well verbally and orally.
• Must be well-organized, attentive to detail, and efficient.
• Able to demonstrate basic mathematics, reading comprehension, and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Plan, layout, and perform diversified installation, maintenance, and repair operations, as assigned to maintain the physical plant, machinery, equipment, and auxiliaries in proper operating condition.
• Maintain, adjust, install or repair physical assets including pumps, pipes, vessels, motors, conveyors, mills, etc.
• Use measuring and testing instruments to diagnose issues and verify repairs.
• Level, align and secure machines, equipment and auxiliaries; perform welding (MIG, TIG, Stick).
• Deliver effective turnover to the oncoming team through verbal and written communication (logbook).
• Maintain a clean work environment per Good Manufacturing Practices; participate in safety audits and daily safety messages.
