Accelera is seeking a Plant Maintenance Technician to ensure continuous operation of heavy industrial machinery supporting high-volume production. You will diagnose mechanical issues, perform preventive maintenance, and coordinate with engineering and production to sustain equipment reliability.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience maintaining heavy industrial machinery.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting hydraulic, pneumatic, and gearbox systems.
  • Welding techniques including stick and TIG; cutting torch operation.
  • Working knowledge of NFPA 70E safety standards and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
  • Proven ability to pass standardized mechanical aptitude assessments.

Responsibilities

  • Execute complex repairs and preventative maintenance on industrial machinery to minimize downtime and maximize output efficiency.
  • Diagnose mechanical malfunctions by observing equipment performance and utilizing diagnostic tools to determine corrective actions.
  • Perform routine inspections, lubrication, and adjustments on power inputs and outputs to maintain machine health.
  • Install, assemble, and calibrate new components to integrate with production lines.
  • Identify and mitigate safety hazards associated with equipment operation to protect workers.
  • Document maintenance activities and report equipment status to engineering and production teams.

Responsibilities
  • Execute complex repairs and preventative maintenance on industrial machinery to minimize downtime and maximize output efficiency.
  • Diagnose mechanical malfunctions by observing equipment performance and utilizing advanced diagnostic tools to determine necessary corrective actions.
  • Perform routine inspections, lubrication, and adjustments on power inputs and outputs to maintain optimal machine health.
  • Install, assemble, and calibrate new components and accessories to ensure seamless integration with existing production lines.
  • Identify and mitigate potential environmental hazards or safety risks associated with equipment operation to protect the workforce.
  • Document maintenance activities and report equipment status to engineering and production teams to facilitate data-driven decision-making.
Required Skills
  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience maintaining heavy industrial machinery.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting hydraulic, pneumatic, and gearbox systems.
  • Strong grasp of welding techniques, including stick and TIG, as well as cutting torch operation.
  • Working knowledge of NFPA 70E safety standards and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
  • Proven ability to pass standardized mechanical aptitude assessments.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience working with industrial controls, including PLCs (Allen Bradley, Siemens) and VFDs.
  • Familiarity with servo motors and HMI interfaces.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across cross-functional departments.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret complex technical schematics and measurement data using calipers and micrometers.
